Weather and Holidays as a filter for Trip Planning

Although there can be surprises, the following chart is generally accurate for weather prediction.
June, July, and August are clearly the most difficult of the months to visit, but I have spent time in
Cuba then as well. It all depends on how you react to heat and humidity without being able to
escape into air conditioning.
Generally, the hotter it gets, the more you’ll need to focus on hydration. Bottled water and soft
drinks are widely available for reasonable prices. But take into consideration that summer is
when the pastors are all engaged (at some level) with the campamentos, the summer camps
for all ages. Visiting then may or may not land you a volunteer job assisting at CANIP, the
national Presbyterian campground in Santa Clara.
My picks are: February, March, April ~ October, November.
But then, these will be the months many other delegations will choose to visit as well.
