A Participant’s Quick-Start Introduction to the Inter-Presbytery Conference, Santa Clara, Cuba 2009.


 

Greetings in Christ,

Much more than a simple get acquainted visit, at this conference you will be immersed in the day to day realities of the Presbyterian Church in Cuba by hearing the presentations made by their participating pastors, sharing Bible studies, music, devotionals, participating in open dialogues on pastoral subjects, and later by accompanying them to their communities to see and hear first hand something of their reality and faith journey.

 

To support the conference we have created a Wiki to enable us all to post our presentation materials and devotionals online. Internet access in Cuba is limited, so unfortunately not every pastor there will be able to connect as we are used to doing, but there is a small group that will be charged with posting the content of those unable to do so. All Spanish entries will be translated.

 

Please visit the Wiki by clicking on the colorful button found on the left column; then click on overview to see a schedule for the week. Scroll around conference plans to see and familiarize yourself with the various aspects.

 

As soon as we finalize our list of participants and assign them user names and pins, each participant will be able to edit the web page and see the development of the conference as our Cuban counterparts add their content. We depend upon you to make this a powerful week of learning and sharing.  We ask that you visit the web site to gain an understanding of the partnership and the conference. We will be adding pages to address any logistics not already found at the site.
